Online privacy is a hot topic at the moment (hello WhatsApp vs Signal) and a pretty big deal topic for us at DeepMiner too! Did you know that we are a private business search engine? 🎉 the results are in for the BusinessCloud Scotland Tech 2020 ranking and we are super excited to get an email that said: "...pleased to announce that DeepMiner has made the Scotland Tech 50 ranking for 2020... and placed at number 11!

👋 hello Stacey, the main designer and architect of the DeepMiner business search engine! She is a graduate of CodeClan with a BA(Hons) Design and Innovation degree from Open University and joined DeepMiner to develop the front end of our search engine.

➡️ she switched careers from a Customer Service and Trainer role with HSBC bank to retrain as a developer and life-before-DeepMiner including working in an Agile Development team as Junior Developer for Registers of Scotland.

More importantly, Stacey is also the owner of puppy, Jabba! ❤️

Meet the team 👇 one of our Data Scientists, Laura, is also completing a PHD at Robert Gordon University in computing and research in the area of machine vision deep learning models.

In the DeepMiner team, Laura works on text analysis and researching the latest developments in machine learning and developing models to analyse text articles; pretty important when it comes to the DeepMiner search engine and product updates!
