2025 proved to be (another) significant year for cyber criminals. As high-profile attacks continued to make headlines, it became clear once again that is no longer optional.

Now in 2026, many organisations still believe they “have cyber covered". They assume their systems are secure. They think their people know what to look for. But confidence and capability are not always the same thing.

Great to have ScotlandIS Tech Trends event last week back in – one of the highlights in our calendar each year.
As a proud of ScotlandIS, it’s events like this that really demonstrate the value of a strong technology membership organisation bringing the community together locally.

Presented by Richard Marshall, the session offered a timely look ahead to 2026 - from AI hype (of course), messy data and unreliable systems, fakes and rising cyber attack complexity to the continued importance of skills, experience and human oversight in technology.

The message was clear: technology isn’t broken beyond repair fully, but it does need to be treated with pragmatism, discipline, and human oversight.

For us and our , that means continuing to do what we’ve done for over 30 years: designing, maintaining, securing and supporting technology solutions aligned to our customers’ requirements - supporting their operations today and enabling growth tomorrow. Technology is the backbone of every modern business - and how it’s managed makes all the difference.

A few weeks ago, some of our team members stepped away from their screens for CPR training - learning how to act fast and stay calm in critical medical situations.
