A new website for Echobliss Sound Therapy ✨

I recently completed a full redesign and rebuild of the Echobliss website, creating a calmer, clearer online presence that better reflects the business and the services Sharon provides.

The project included:

• A complete WordPress and Divi redesign
• Dedicated service and Corporate Wellbeing pages
• A redesigned Journal and nine reformatted articles
• Mobile optimisation and foundational SEO
• Contact and newsletter sign-up forms
• A carefully managed move to SiteGround
• MailerLite integration and an automated welcome email
• A reusable newsletter design
• A five-month plan connecting future Journals, emails and social content

An important part of the project was moving the website to its new hosting while preserving the existing IONOS business email service. It required careful work with the domain, DNS records, SSL and website email delivery—but resulted in a secure launch with as little disruption as possible.

Echobliss now has more than a redesigned website. It has a connected digital foundation that will be easier to manage and build upon.

Even better, the website received its first enquiry soon after completion.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on migrating a client’s website to a new hosting platform.

On the surface, it sounds like a straightforward task.

“Can you move our website?”

But behind those five words sits a huge amount of technical work that most people never see.

DNS records. Nameservers. Hosting environments. FTP access. Cloudflare. Email configuration. WordPress installations. SSL certificates. Testing. Troubleshooting. Launch planning.

The client sees a beautiful new website.

I see a carefully planned process designed to make sure their business stays online, their emails continue working, and the transition is as smooth as possible.

It made me reflect on something.

For a long time, I’ve described myself as a web designer.

But the reality is that my role has evolved far beyond choosing colours, layouts and fonts. Every project involves problem-solving, planning, technical decision-making and guiding clients through what can often feel like an overwhelming process.

The design is the visible part.

The real work often happens behind the scenes.

Ironically, that’s the part I’ve grown to enjoy the most. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking a complicated technical challenge and quietly solving it before the client even realises there was a problem.

Sometimes it’s worth taking a step back and recognising how much your role has evolved beyond the title on your business card.

I hold a qualification in NLP — neuro-linguistic programming. It's not something I lead with, but it quietly shapes everything I do.

This one was not a straightforward build — and that's exactly why it's worth sharing.

GT Construction came to me needing a professional website that reflected the quality of their work. What followed was one of the more technically involved projects I've taken on.

Here's what was actually involved behind the scenes:

— A complete walkthrough video was produced so the client could manage their own content updates confidently and independently
— Built completely from scratch — no framework, no shortcuts
— Custom code written and implemented for a rolling image section
— Code later removed and replaced with Divi Supreme when the client decided to manage their own image uploads
— Significant DNS work required because their domain had originally been set up with Google, which was subsequently purchased by Squarespace
— Full website migration from their existing setup over to SiteGround
— A complete walkthrough video produced so the client could manage their own content updates confidently and independently

The site is live. The structure, services, trust signals and enquiry route are all in place. Images are currently placeholders — the client is updating those in their own time using the training I provided.

This is what bespoke website work actually looks like.

Not every project is complicated — but when it is, you need someone who can handle it without passing the problem back to you.
