SOCORA LITE (our free Kontakt library) features an unusual multi-fx system.

Where other soft synths and sample libraries feature a plethora of k***s and switches to control their effects, Socora LITE does it all on a single slider!

It is so simple to use. You select your desired effect from the multi-fx list and then move the fx-slider. That's it!

As you move the control, you will hear your selected effect smoothly morph through multiple states and settings.

These effects warp and intensify, sometimes to the point where they become so altered, that they morph into something unexpected and new. As an example, check out the Dimension effect in the video (1:45s) or the Flair effect (3:52s).

The INSTABILITY control on Socora LITE (free cinematic synth engine for Kontakt).

Ok, so this is not the most interesting video, but it has a little story...

Laying in bed, bored and bunged up with a heavy cold, I had a brainwave! I thought I'd attempt to write Kontakt code that simulates the effect that electricity flowing through ageing and deteriorating components has on an analog synth's sound and feel.

After a week of noodling, fiddling and beard-stroking, I fine-tuned my new 'INSTBILITY' system and installed it into Socora LITE.

I made this control variable. At lower settings, you get a DCO synth feel. At higher levels, you get a VCO and then a vintage synth feel. On full...well, it just sounds like your synth is broken. 😳

This system turns, what would normally be a good-sounding synth engine, into something that sounds like the real thing!
