A simple upgrade to bring this customer’s multiroom audio system back online.

A failed Sonos Port connected to this customers Bose multiroom system was replaced with a WiiM Pro Plus streamer. We also upgraded a Sonos One in the gym with a WiiM Sound Lite speaker.

Once installed and configured, the customer was back up and running with integrated audio across four rooms of the home, all controlled from one easy to use app on their phone.

A great way to modernise an existing audio system without unnecessarily replacing equipment that still works perfectly well.

From 18Mbps to over 400Mbps - without running new cables through the house.

This customer already had a TP-Link mesh Wi-Fi system, but one room was only receiving around 18Mbps because the mesh unit was relying on a weak wireless connection back to the main router.

Using a Triax Ethernet-over-Coax system, I was able to utilise the home’s existing TV aerial cabling to create a hardwired connection for the mesh unit.

The result? A much stronger and more reliable Wi-Fi connection, with speeds now over 400Mbps in the same room.

Sometimes the cabling needed to solve a Wi-Fi problem is already sitting unused within the property, it’s just a case of knowing how to make use of it.

📱 New phone day!

Today’s job was helping a customer move from an iPhone 11 to a brand new iPhone 16 Pro.

While Apple’s transfer process is usually straightforward, it doesn’t always go to plan. From setting up the new device and transferring data to making sure photos, contacts, apps, passwords and email accounts are all working correctly, it’s reassuring to have someone there to make the process stress-free.

Upgraded to 4K just in time for the game! ⚽️✨

Today we tackled this living room upgrade, swapping out an old 15m HDMI cable for a top-of-the-line 8K 48Gbps Blustream HDMI. The goal? Getting this massive new 4K projector running at its absolute best.

We know the thought of routing new cables through a finished ceiling can be scary, but we kept damage to an absolute minimum - just three small holes were needed to sneak the cable around the ceiling and past that gorgeous skylight. 🛠️

Once the decorator works their magic patching things up, you won’t even know we were there. The only evidence left behind? A crystal-clear 4K setup just in time for the customer to watch England limp to victory! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Whole‑home WiFi 7 upgrade completed in Bowdon last week 📶🏡

This setup included 3 x WiFi 7 access points to give fast, reliable coverage across the entire property. Plus an outbuilding that had previously been hardwired, so we tied that into the new system for seamless roaming.

Here’s the core of the network: tidy cabling, Omada controller, and a solid network switch keeping everything running smoothly ⚡

The result? Strong, stable WiFi in every room, every floor, and even outside.
