Setting Up Remote Working
There are many ways to setup remote working, it all depends on what access your staff require and what technology you already have. The three main options are as follows:

Cloud
This can be the quickest solution to get you up and running, it's possible everything is already setup. Often by working through the cloud you will get a large number of staff up and running with common tools like Email.

Remote Desktop
If you have the ability to run remote desktops it can be a quick way to offer internal applications to remote users. With a remote desktop session it's like the user is within the office while accessing from home.

VPN
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a private home to office link. It works well when users laptops are locked down and you have full control, you can create a scenario where the home office is almost the same as being in the office.

Planning and Implementation
If you are looking to implement remote working within your business. Planning is the key, first map all applications, try to include who needs access and the business units associated. Secondly prioritise applications and decide what remote technology will serve it best. Typically a company will require a hybrid setup, by understanding exact requirements you can save time and money. When setting up clients we try to follow this three phase approach:

Phase1
Migrate simple services like email and CRM to the cloud.

Phase 2
Setup remote desktop access to access internal applications.

Phase 3
A VPN solution will grant key employees full access, often this is Senior Employees and Finance.

By migrating in a phased approach, you reduce the complexity and increase the up-time to your company.

No two businesses are the same, but a simple logical approach like the one outlined above will get you there.

If you have questions, we are happy to talk to see if we can help.

We need companies with ideas because we know how to make them happen.
Identified a new business opportunity? Looking to create a Spin Out? Unsure of how to even start? These are common problems, even the smallest changes in a big organisation can be difficult. Using out tried and tested innovative practices we can help you get started and make real change.

How we do it
You could outsource the work, but who knows your market, your supply chain and your team better than you? To build and retain knowledge within your organisation but also to navigate quickly through it’s large structure we help you build a startup within it. Utilising the best methodologies from the startup world and the existing experience of an established organisation you have best of both worlds. Agile product development plus market insight.

We have worked with The NHS and Off The Fence to build new solutions that exactly meet their requirements. It’s not easy, but having worked in enterprise and the startup world we know how to build lean and also be compliant to enterprise standards. Where there are skill gaps we can find resource and train where required.

The Result
An example is a recent project for the NHS, in less than 12 months the solution is live and scaling. To date this project has saved the NHS 1,000,000 hours for GP's and has an effective reach of 20% of the population. In addition, employees are empowered to develop new solutions within the organisation and this only the start.

Experience
We have created startups within organisations, spinouts from universities and built startups from the ground up. Over the years we have worked with many industries: Financial Services, Healthcare, Film and TV. If we don't have the particular skills in a certain area, we know how to find the right people to help.

It can be overwhelming fighting fires while keeping up with the latest developments in technology.
We have created an audit that identifies what the next steps are for your organisation.

Everything is designed to meet your requirements, we have no preferred suppliers or partners, the resulting plan is bespoke from the ground up to fit your requirements.

Our process is simple
We ask questions, listen, discuss options, then help you deliver the solution.

It's up to you how we work together, we are happy to deliver a one off audit to help you identify the right path, we can also work closer and help you through every stage of delivery.

A standard audit is a three day process:

We sit down with the relevant people in your organisation and listen to their issues and what they need.

With the information given we work through the options and design the right plan of action.

We talk together to ensure the design fits exactly into your companies schedule and requirements.

Following on from an audit we can offer support, consultancy and a range of other services.
