Goooood Evening Troops

Apologies for the radio silence since the open day.

The powers that be took a well earned break but rest assured we are still chucking dice, enjoying our games and having fun every second friday at Strachan Hall.

A new edition of Warhammer 40K came out in June so everyone is still getting to grips with the changes and tweaks.

Also a new General's Handbook for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, so again new battleplans, points changes and new seasonal rules freshen up the game.

As usual the Trench Crusade guys are scheming up all sorts in the alternate reality where they immerse themselves in their stunning scenery and tell amazing stories.

The Magic Crew are still shuffling those cards and building filthy decks but loving every minute of it.

If you were left flat by the 2026 World Cup fear not.....the revamped DGC Blood Bowl 7s League kicks off this Friday with the opening game where Andrews Large Lads and the Angry C***e face off against Martins Teefsmasha Younited in what will no doubt be a classic opening game.

As always anyone is welcome to come along. Bring your games, jump in to the WA community or even the brand new Discord server.

Time to find a partner and get ready to purge for the Emperor/get crumpin'/let the galaxy burn!

Team Hammer-Deen is chuffed to announce our first event of 2026 - a Doubles Tournament on Saturday 4th July at Great Western Community Centre.

Players will bring 1000 points each and partner up over three games to determine our doubles champion.

As ever, we’ll have some pretty great prizes available for the best players and painters.

Tickets for the event are sold as a doubles team ticket, member payment is £40.00 per team.

(Member tickets are priced at £35.00, and are still available).

Don’t often do this, but would really like to recommend a seller - I bought a new 3D printed Trench Crusade warband from Andy at Ocean City Miniatures - best service - friendly, communicative, knowledgable - everything was packed meticulously and he sent me exactly what I wanted and the prints are super clean and crisp - I placed the order at about 9 at night, he printed them the next day (28 models) and put them in the post the following day - Tuesday - arrived from Plymouth here in North East Scotland today.

Proper community seller - please consider him if you want some goodies. I can’t recommend highly enough.

A sad day in hobbyland

Renowned artist John Blache has sadly passed away

His artwork though my time in the hobby has always felt so immersive and transported me to those places and moments, he has inspired thousands throughout his time.

We have lost a legend of the hobbysphere but his work lives on for many many years to come.

Gooooooood Morning All

Our open day on the 6th June is now fully booked

We have 24 tables booked with a 22 player Age of Sigmar tournament along with an 8 player large scale 40k mega game 24k of points per side and loads of other different game systems, like MTG, MCP, A Song of Ice and Fire, Some Historical gaming Trench Crusade, Kill Team, A hobby table, a couple skirmish game tables and a buy,sell and swap table for those in need of more plastic.

Everyone and anyone is welcome to come along, we are all really enthusiastic about our hobbies so pop in past and say hello

We have built an amazing community over the last 3 and a half years so feel free to come along as see what we do

9am until 7pm (ish)

Another cracking night at Deeside Gaming Club last night! 🎲

Tables were packed at Strachan hall, dice were rolling, and the battlefield was alive with everything from grimdark industrial warzones to cinematic skirmishes. Great to see such a strong turnout and a mix of new faces and seasoned commanders getting stuck in.

Highlights included:
- Warhammer 40K
- Age of Sigmar
- Kill Team
- Trench Crusade
- Magic the Gathering
– Brutal clashes
– Close-fought games that went right down to the wire
– Plenty of laughs, tactical blunders, and heroic last stands

Massive thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a good night — the club’s growing into something really special.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, this is your sign. Whether you’re into building, painting, or just throwing dice, there’s always a place at the table.

We are on every second Friday and looking forward (shameless plug) to our first All Day Open Day at Banchory Scout Hut on Saturday 6th June - give us a shout and come on down!
