Every good tradesperson says some version of this. So here's how to get more Google reviews without feeling like a pest.

1. Ask on the day, while they're happy. Not a week later.
2. Don't say "leave a review if you get a minute". Send the direct link by text: "would you mind leaving a quick review, it really helps".
3. That's it. The link does the work, three taps, done.

Your opening hours.

When someone's boiler goes at 9pm and they search "plumber near me", Google shows "Open" or "Closed" next to each result. If you've not set your hours, you get neither, and you look shut. People scroll to whoever says Open.

📊 It's done. I checked every plumber in Barrow on Google.

20 plumbing and heating businesses. Reviews, opening hours, websites, who actually turns up when someone searches.

Here's the one that stopped me: 10 of the 12 with Google reviews have never replied to a single one. Not a word back to the people leaving them five stars.
