We’ve been working with some really exciting brands this month and we’re loving how this new year has started!

The end of last year was incredibly busy & slightly chaotic for us, and during stressful periods of business it can sometimes be hard to remember the amazing parts of your job.

As we’ve booked in more & more projects for the first half of 2023, we’re finally getting back to feeling super inspired, excited & focused!

So, what are a few of our favourite things about being website designers?

WHAT IS MINIMAL DESIGN?

A minimal design has intentionally prioritised the essential & avoided the excess. It’s focused on sophistication & clarity, and is characterised by order, simplicity and harmony.

When it comes to website design specifically, the concept of only using the things you need, plays a huge part in user experience. Clean, easy to navigate layouts, essential product or service information displayed usefully, legible fonts & fast loading speeds are all key aspects of a highly functioning website that offers an excellent user experience.

One thing we ask clients is how they want their website visitors to feel when they see their website? Avoiding excess and focusing on what your visitor needs helps build trust, avoids overwhelm & gives clarity to your user. It offers a sense of serenity, calmness & integrity.

To us, minimal design is all about using neutral colours, clean lines, limited fonts, white space, balance & intentional simplicity, to achieve the refined form of elegance.
