We are seeing this more and more… You get Full Fibre installed expecting a big improvement, but instead, it’s the same old poor speeds.
Why? Because a fast connection into the house is only half the battle… you still need to get it around the house properly.
How? Wi-Fi access points connected with a cable, getting you the very best connection back to the internet.
What doesn’t help your Wi-Fi?
Walls – Solid walls kill Wi-Fi, especially those promised fast speeds.
Electrical cables, pipework and mirrors.
Foil-backed insulation.
Neighbours’ Wi-Fi, which can interfere with your network.
What we solve:
Provide your devices with the speeds you’re actually paying for.
Lower latency, ping and jitter (gamers will understand 😂).
Your Wi-Fi Calling will actually work.
Everyone in the family can access your maximum speeds, no matter who else is connected.
What doesn’t work:
Wireless extenders/boosters – These only boost an already weak signal, halving the speed with each hop.
Powerlines – Electrical cabling can introduce jitter and packet loss, regardless of their quality.
Buying a fancy single router – UK laws mean a better router can’t simply send out a stronger signal.
Mesh routers – These still rely on a wireless connection (backhaul). They can work, but it all depends on the size and build of your home.
