Why are 3D impressions quicker, safer, less invasive and more accurate for custom in ear monitors? Let’s show you!📡
✨
Taken at our London Demo Clinic, we wanted to share our process in realtime to capture a perfect 3D Ear Impression in under 1 minute!
✨
Traditional physical silicone impressions involve protecting your eardrum with a foam block on a string, then filling your ear with a flexible silicone material that hardens and is removed after 5minutes or so. This process leaves the ear completely occluded/blocked, and can be quite uncomfortable while it’s happening, and when you take it out - with no guarantee the correct detail has been captured…
✨
Our process using exclusive 3D ear scanning technology at DCA changes all that. We leave the ear open to atmospheric pressure and use a small laser probe and high definition camera to capture every detail of the ear from the inside out! Most importantly you can see everything while it happens in realtime, so you know the impression is no way near your eardrum!
✨
The more sensitive parts of the ear (around the second bend of the ear canal) only take on average 20seconds, which is a big difference compared to sitting with material there for 5minutes.
✨
Every set of custom in ear monitors from DCA has a set of free 3D ear impressions included in the price so if you’d like to try this for yourself next set of customs, drop us a message or tag someone who hates getting silicone moulds! 🔥
