A little update from me at Two Newts 💚🩷

As my workload has got busier, I’ll admit I completely lost control of where I was with everything and how I was organising my orders.

Last week I was working until 11pm some nights, and I STILL didn’t manage to get through everything. That’s when I realised something has to change.

There is only me.

I’m not Amazon. I don’t have a warehouse full of staff or a team working behind the scenes. It’s me, doing the designing, printing, embroidery, packing, messages, ordering stock, invoicing, website and everything else that comes with running Two Newts.

Occasionally I can rope my 13-year-old and 9-year-old into helping Mom out 😂 but ultimately, it’s just me.

At the moment I have around 35 orders in progress, and I am getting through them. But I can no longer promise super-quick turnarounds just because I’ve always tried my hardest to squeeze people in.

This is also why I really need customers to order through my website wherever possible.

Online orders go straight into my system, they're paid for and I can keep track of exactly what needs doing. When orders come through messages, I then have to stop working to create invoices, send payment details, chase information and manually keep track of everything.

Like everyone else, I have bills to pay and I need to spend my working hours actually producing the orders that pay them.

I’m working on getting more and more products uploaded to the website, but that takes time too. I’ve got this weekend set aside to get myself organised, update the website and put some better systems in place.

So please just bear with me while I get on top of everything. ❤️

I absolutely appreciate every single order — 35 orders waiting to be made is a brilliant problem for a small business to have — but I also need to be realistic about what one person can physically produce in a day.

Two Newts is a small business. There’s no team behind the curtain. It’s just me and two Newts. 🦎🦎

Firstly, a big apology for the delay and the lack of communication over the weekend. I completely ran out of time on Friday before we had to leave for our holiday.
