A SUNDAY LIKE NO OTHER: The birth of codoc digital
03- August-2014
This Sunday felt different, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on why. Maybe it was the looming realization that I had nothing to do the following Monday, or perhaps it was that inexplicable post-graduation “what now?” feeling that had been lurking around. Life had been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but mostly just downs. Don’t get me wrong, my calendar was filled with tasks, but nothing that really set my soul on fire. You get me, right?
So there I was, contemplating life’s great mysteries, sipping on a Spanish latte with a croissant in hand, when inspiration struck me like a lightning bolt. Who knew that buttery pastries and frothy coffee could spark such entrepreneurial genius? My background wasn’t in Computer Science, but I’d always had a curious fascination with software houses. You could say I was the black sheep of the tech world, or maybe the black “byte”? Either way, the tech bug had bitten me, and I was itching to do something about it.
As the legendary Maya Angelou once said, “Nothing will work unless you do.” And let me tell you, that quote was the caffeine kick I needed. Fueled by ambition (and maybe a little too much caffeine), I decided to dive headfirst into the unknown. The name Codoc came to me like a divine revelation. “Code” plus “doc” equals Codoc. Genius, right?
Designing a logo with zero design skills was my first challenge. I mean, who knew picking colors and fonts could be so complicated? But hey, I managed to create something that didn’t make my eyes bleed, and that’s a win in my book. I also decided to dabble in animations and even learned a bit of coding. I was basically transforming into a tech wizard overnight. Harry Potter, who? More like Harry Code-er.
Next came the website, which, if I’m being honest, felt like assembling IKEA furniture without instructions. But after a lot of trial, error, and maybe a few tears, Codoc Digital was live and ready for the world. With my family and cousins by my side, we embarked on this exciting startup journey together. We were a tech dream team, or perhaps more of a “byte-sized” family business.
Fast forward three months, and we’ve built quite the digital empire. We’ve got social engagement that would make any influencer jealous and sales figures that could make a calculator overheat. From eBook writing to website designing, we’re offering it all at Codoc Digital We’ve become the one-stop shop for all things digital, like the Amazon of tech, but without the drones.
The real takeaway from this tale? Believing in yourself is the secret sauce to success. Just sprinkle a little self-belief on everything you do, and watch the magic unfold. There’s truly nothing you can’t achieve if you set your mind to it. So, if you’re sitting there reading this, pondering your next move, remember: you’re just a croissant and a Spanish latte away from your next big idea.
Yours truely,
Tech Bug
