Launceston 3rd XI (17 points) beat Lanhydrock 3rd XI (6 points) by 7 wickets.

A beautiful day at the ground saw a superb batting effort by our young guns and an old stalwart with new knees on a belter of a batting track. Christian got the innings off to a flying start with a 50 at better than a run a ball, Kev anchored the innings with the youngsters scoring freely around him especially Fred with some unorthordox shots. A challenging total was set and a fine tea was enjoyed by all, thank you Tracey Coultas for a lovely spread.
Harvey bowled a miserly open spell of 6 overs conceding only 12 runs before being replaced by Soma who picked up a couple of wickets both bowled. Unfortunately then cam the winning partnership which saw Launceston almost home, Kevin Worth who hit a ton holed out to Soma in the deep giving Alfie a wicket. The damage was done and Launceston won with 9 balls to spare.
Lovely to see so many of youngsters enjoying their cricket in the sunshine at our beautiful ground.
