Well done to one of our 2024/2025 sponsored teams Bedlington FC U16's Girls.
Through to the next round of the U16 FA Youth Cup after beating "Manchester United" 1-0.
Fantastic result and the very best of luck in the next round against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 7th December.

As a very famous man once said… “and I tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!”
These girls are not quite at the level of Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle side of the 90s but I’m sure we could rename them as the new Entertainers following their efforts this weekend, and this season as a whole!
The team represented Bedlington FC as they headed down to Manchester for their game this weekend to face their Manchester United counterparts - yes that’s right we had Bedlington FC vs Manchester United U16 Girls. No wonder it’s took us a few days to digest that…
Not only did the girls, their coaches, and by the look of it half of Bedlington supporting them go down and compete, but they came back with an outstanding 1-0 win too! To say we are proud of everyone involved is an absolute understatement. Not only putting themselves and Bedlington FC on the map, but yet again female football - something we’ve always took pride in.
Chris Potter one of the girls’ coaches has done a fantastic job this season with the girls, and highlights how much grit, determination and heart was on show from all the players after absorbing immense pressure from Manchester United. The girls stayed solid and managed to grab a goal before half time and through everyone’s hard work they managed to see the game out due to some expert defending.
Girls, we are so pleased to have you here with us at Bedlington FC. Please keep this up and continue to make us all so proud no matter which giants you are slaying week-in, week-out!💙⚽️
