Science In Print

Science In Print Spreading a fascination of all things science, through the medium of printmaking. Fascinated by science and bright colours? You may just have met your soul-mate!

This endeavour of mine was started in the summer of 2011. At the time a single parent, with a love of science and a knack for creating. I started out illustrating cards by hand (shockingly not-profitable) before moving onto fabric appliqué, then swiftly into printmaking which is where I found my passion. Working hard over the past couple of years I am edging closer to perfecting my trade and findi

ng my own style of bold, bright, science. I have continued in the vein working towards a comprehensive catalogue of beautifully scientific goodies for you all. I get approached regularly by scientists, from many fields, inspired by my current collection, wanting something individual to them. This can either be a minor tweak to a design, or a fully bespoke item; either way I am completely on board. I love a challenge. Maybe you work with rats, and would prefer something in their anatomy, or what about your favourite design in your university/company colours. Currently working on:
• Deep Sea multi-layer prints – to be sold as originals, re-prints, cards, and eventually sets,
• Scientist stories – to inspire kids early into scientific thinking, written and illustrated by myself,
• Large scale prints – both for clothing and frame-able prints, I’m working on upscaling everything! As well as selling through my online stores, I love selling items through museums and galleries. So if you’re in the market for something a little different in your shop, drop me a line through the Facebook messaging service.
