Throughout her Grammy-nominated solo work and her tenure as a co-founder of Sonic Youth, Kim Gordon is widely recognized as one of the most original bass players in modern rock music. She has also continually returned to the guitar both in the studio and onstage, developing a distinctive voice defined by dissonance, texture and restraint.

The Limited Edition Kim Gordon Fender Jazzmaster® reflects that dual legacy. Finished in Olympic White with a matching headcap, it’s a visually striking instrument that carries its character in the details: a rosewood fingerboard with white pearloid block inlays and a Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4 humbucker in the bridge that pushes the Jazzmaster’s naturally open voice into heavier, more aggressive territory. The vintage-style floating tremolo preserves the offset architecture that made the Jazzmaster a staple of the no wave and noise rock scene of which Gordon has long been a massive influence.

Some synths want to be understood. This one wants to be provoked. Two engines colliding, an analog filter you can push until it howls, six voices scattering across the stereo field, and a pressure-sensitive matrix that turns every swipe and press into sonic motion. The Arturia MiniFreak 49 doesn't hold your hand. It gives you 49 keys and asks what you're going to do with them🤯

Want to learn more? Then join us this Thursday for our Modern Sound Design Masterclass hosted by Arturia's own synth expert Tom Lewis. Limited tickets remaining here🚀 https://www.scan.co.uk/products/arturia-modern-sound-design-with-minifreak-event-ticket-22-10-26

Starting with simple sounds and building from the ground up, explore how oscillators, modulation, filtering, effects and performance controls can be combined to create everything from evolving textures and expressive leads to aggressive basses and experimental sounds🎹🚀

Rather than simply running through features, the session will focus on how to think about sound design – breaking sounds into their component parts, understanding how modulation creates movement and character, and using experimentation to turn an initial idea into something unique⚡

Whether you're new to synthesis or already spend far too much time disappearing down sound-design rabbit holes, the session will offer practical techniques and creative ideas you can take back to your own music.
There'll also be plenty of opportunity to get hands-on with MiniFreak and other Arturia synthesizers, ask questions and make some noise!🎧

All of this for just £5 - PLUS everyone will receive a 12-month licence for Arturia V-Collection AND Pigments software🤯

One lucky attendee will also 🔥WIN🔥 an Arturia bundle worth over £1300 consisting of:

- KeyLab 49 mk3 Ultra
- FX Collection 6 perpetual licence
- V Collection 11 Pro perpetual licence
- Pigments perpetual licence
- Pure Sub perpetual licence
