Segway Hoverboard
This unit's symptoms consisted of no charging or life. Charger tested positive, charger input not damaged or weak. Tested battery unit, completely dead. Dismantling the power pack was a bit demanding, once dismantled, batteries tested. The end result was 80% of cells were dead. Decided to replace the whole lot. Replaced batteries with quality units. Its been a few months the customer is still very happy with the repair work. These units have a bad press, due to cheap batteries and poor charge controllers.

Have had a few Amplifiers for bluetooth conversions. It's great to see these vinatge units are not headed towards the Landfill. The Bluetooth devices are physically integrated into the electronics. Also along the way some minor servicing while the units are open. Conversion cost £45.00.

On inspection the electronics seem to be fine no indication of burn out. Further investigation turns out the transformer is the issue, no output voltage, Poor manufacturing.

Simple solder, job done another unit saved from the land fill.

MK4 VW Golf LCD display issues.

Common problem on the MK4, after a while the display fades or pixels vanish. Customer sourced the LCD and got me to do the tricky soldering job well done. The picture explains the rest.
