A huge well done to Raafi on completing his Level 4 Sales Executive course!

And a massive congratulations on your promotion to Regional Sales Manager — very well deserved.

You’ve fitted into the team brilliantly. Your maturity, communication skills and attention to detail have really stood out, along with your willingness to get involved and take on new challenges.

You’ve also shown great leadership and coaching skills when supporting younger students joining us for work experience — something we know will be valuable as we welcome future students and apprentices into the ANT team.

You’re already making your mark in sales too, recently sticking with an opportunity through plenty of hurdles and turning it into a new customer with the potential for more business in the future.

It’s been great to see how much you’ve developed during your apprenticeship, and we’re looking forward to seeing you take that next step.

Well done Raafi — and congratulations on the new role!

Standardising lone worker safety across multiple sites sounds straightforward.

In reality, it rarely is.

Several years ago, we helped a large UK manufacturer roll out a lone worker solution across almost 20 sites. Looking back, we discovered the biggest challenges weren't the technology itself.

They were things like:
• Creating visibility across multiple locations.
• Getting people to use the solution consistently.
• Adapting the system to fit how each site actually worked.
• Having local champions who took ownership.

Perhaps the biggest lesson?

The goal isn't to standardise technology. It's to standardise protection.

Different sites will always have different risks and operational requirements. The key is creating a consistent approach that people will actually use.

Have you faced similar challenges standardising lone worker safety across multiple sites?

Should you choose two way digital radio or Push-to-Talk Smartphones for your operational teams?

It's a question we hear all the time.

The answer isn't about choosing a device first. It's about understanding how your teams work.

Some employees simply need instant Push-to-Talk communication. Others also need access to business smartphone applications. In many organisations, the right solution is a combination of both.

In our latest blog, we explain why understanding operational requirements should always come before choosing the technology.

Choosing between radio, Push-to-Talk and other industrial communication tech starts with understanding how your teams work. Discover what to consider.

Keeping critical communications running for years to come.

As legacy DECT platforms reach end of support and the PSTN switch-off draws closer, organisations are upgrading their communication systems to ensure they're supported well into the future.

Our engineers recently completed the replacement of a customer's legacy DECT system with a modern IP DECT solution, carefully decommissioning the old platform and commissioning the new one with minimal disruption.

While the technology has changed, the customer's critical workflows remain exactly as they should. The new DECT system continues to integrate with the site's intercom and production monitoring systems, routing alerts directly to staff handsets so they're notified immediately, wherever they are on site.

That means teams can continue to communicate and collaborate across the site, responding quickly to incidents without being tied to a control room.

A great effort from Dave, Jose and Colin, who worked together to deliver another successful migration. From installing equipment on rooftops and integrating it with the existing infrastructure, through to testing and commissioning, every detail was carefully managed to ensure a smooth transition.

When every second counts, getting the right information to the right people matters.

Another successful project completed by the ANT Telecom engineering team.

This installation involved deploying a new radio system across a large industrial site, providing reliable communication for staff while supporting a faster, more coordinated response to incidents.

The completed solution delivers:

✔ Reliable site-wide radio coverage
✔ Lone worker protection for employees working across the site
✔ Integration with multiple fire alarm panels, allowing fire alarm activations from different buildings to be sent directly to the fire response team's radios

Instead of relying on someone to relay information from a control room, the right people are notified immediately, helping the team respond quickly wherever an alarm occurs.

Delivering reliable coverage across a site like this takes careful planning. From installing external repeaters in challenging locations to commissioning and testing the entire system, every stage is designed to ensure dependable communications when they matter most.

Well done Mat and Peter on another successful installation.

Tomorrow, Team ANT Telecom will be swapping laptops for football boots as we take part in the 5 of Herts Charity Football Tournament!

We've got Toby causing havoc upfront like a charging bull, Pete bringing his silky skills at the back, Raafi putting in the strong tackles, and Ramesh ready to pull off a few classy saves. What could possibly go wrong? 😄

We had a brilliant time at last year's tournament, and we're looking forward to another afternoon of friendly competition, catching up with local businesses, and supporting the fantastic work of Home-Start Watford & Three Rivers.

Best of luck to the team – enjoy it, and return to work without any injuries please!!

Local businesses are invited to enter the 5 of Herts Charity Football Tournament, a friendly 5-a-side event returning for its third year.

There's something refreshing about swapping Teams calls for face-to-face conversations.
Over the last couple of days, we brought the team together to share updates, discuss ideas, celebrate successes and make sure everyone is up to speed with what's happening across the business.
A big thank you to our presenters, Pete Santarserio, Mat Hartley, and Steve Ringshaw, for keeping everyone informed on everything from products, IT updates and accreditations.
And special thanks to Maria Gibbs for organising the sweepstake and a fantastic meal out! Though the least we say about you pulling Germany and Spain out of the hat the better!! 🤔⚽
Well done everyone!! Great company, good food, plenty of laughs, and lots of positive plans for the months ahead.

Traditional lone worker systems are struggling to keep pace with the demands of modern industrial and multi-site environments.

Businesses are increasingly looking for more than just panic alarms. They need better indoor location visibility, faster incident response, operational communication, and devices workers actually want to carry.

In our latest blog, we explore how modern platforms like Aspect Link are helping organisations combine lone worker protection with Push-to-Talk communication, indoor positioning, and responder coordination to create a more connected approach to worker safety.

Learn how modern lone worker platforms combine safety alarms, indoor location, and Push-to-Talk (PoC) to improve worker protection across complex sites.

A huge well done to Toby on completing his Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship course!
And an even bigger congratulations on his promotion to Regional Sales Manager — thoroughly deserved.
From day one, Toby has fitted into the business brilliantly. His maturity, confidence, willingness to get involved, and ability to pick things up quickly have really stood out, and it’s been great to see his progress throughout his apprenticeship journey.
We’ve got no doubt he’s going to be a huge success in his new role and we’re excited to see what’s next for him.
Well done Toby — you should be really proud of yourself!

Still relying on radios to run your events?

For years, they’ve been the go-to for keeping teams connected. But for large, outdoor or multi-location events, they often come with hidden challenges—cost, setup complexity, and coverage limitations.

We’ve been working with event organisers running large-scale events across the UK and Europe, and we’re seeing a shift.

More teams are moving towards Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) as a simpler, more flexible way to coordinate staff, safety teams and medical responders.

No infrastructure to deploy.
No repeaters to install.
Just instant communication, wherever there’s coverage.

What’s interesting is this isn’t just relevant for sporting events. The same challenges exist at festivals, large venues and multi-site events.

If you’re reviewing how your teams communicate, this is worth a look.
