✨ PSA: Stop using AI to generate logos for your business!! ✨

This morning I had a new client come to me with a logo they already have and asked for it to be used to create a design for vehicle livery. Absolutely, yes, no problem, I'm thinking to myself.

"Here are the logo files" they say - then proceeding to send me PNG files of a very obviously AI generated logo.

I go back to them... "Thanks for sending these over! Does whoever designed this logo for you have vector files, which would be EPS, SVG or maybe even PDF as these retain vector data?"

Then, the dreaded answer that I knew was coming... "No, I generated these using AI."

All I can say at this point is "this is fine" and work my magic. 😅 The GIF of the dog sitting as his coffee table surrounded by fire saying everything is fine, is 100% me at this point. 😂🔥☕

Don't get me wrong, AI is a great tool to use in moderation, but it can't do everything a person can and should not be used as a replacement! Something as important as the image of your business shouldn't be left down to a computer to generate for you - where's the creativity, the ethos, the magic, behind everything your logo says about you and your business? It doesn't exist, is the answer.

Creatives like myself are here to take your ideas and make them flourish with excitement and personality, and to make you stand out from everyone else! If everyone is genning their logos with AI, all businesses will start to look the same in the not too distant future. Not to mention, AI can't give you all of the file formats and colourways your brand needs to be implemented across multiple channels!!

Anyway 😂 my rant is over, and my client now knows that they should have just come to a designer first before putting their brand out there. Just have a think about what AI uses to generate logos - information that is already accessible online - so any logos it generates, someone else will also probably already have and it will look incredibly similar! Not to mention the lack of detail, sharp edges, and ability to edit anything to do with the file it generates!

I should stop typing otherwise I'll just keep going. 🤐 If you read all of this, well done to you, because this was definitely an unintentional essay. 😂

TLDR: Stop using AI to generate logos - go to a designer or agency that knows how to take your ideas and turn them into something amazing! You'll get your money's worth!! 🤩

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Debbie from Education Safeguarding Solutions for some print materials for an event she is taking part in. By taking her logo and creating some stunning flyers, business cards, and roller banners for her, she is sure to make heads turn at her event. ✨

She was even kind enough to send me some photos of the final printed materials from her chosen print supplier - which is always so lovely seeing as I mostly ever see the designs I create on the screens!

Debbie is such a wonderful person to deal with, so if anyone in my network has a requirement for any kind of safeguarding solutions - she's your lady!! 🥰

I remember playing the first generation games as a kid and bumping into a Nidoran in one of the early routes and thinking I'd hit the jackpot early-game! I also didn't realise as a kid that the symbols at the end of the Nidoran names were for male and female... I just thought the purple one was a shiny version. ✨😂
