We’re celebrating week - a nationwide celebration of the incredible impact charities and social enterprises have on our communities, led by Community Leisure UK.

We are committed to putting people above profit, inspiring healthier and happier lifestyles, and creative thriving places where communities can connect. All while supporting local employment and local growth.

We are particularly proud of our partnership with Halo Leisure to combine school swimming lessons with library visits.

Huge thanks to the staff and Year 6 pupils from Newton Primary School in Porthcawl for taking part in this film. They spent a week having structured swimming lessons alongside guided visits to our library.

By combining physical activity with reading and learning enrichment, the initiative aims to support children’s wellbeing, educational development and social inclusion through engaging, practical experiences in trusted public spaces.
