I am delighted to announce that recently I joined the board at EdShift

We’ve been working with EdShift since their conception providing ongoing design and web design for a number of years. So it’s a huge honour to be able to help them grow even more through marketing, design and branding consultancy as part of their board of directors.

There will be a proper announcement coming very soon but in the meantime I wanted to take the time to make you aware of EdShift’s upcoming networking event called ‘Shift Networking’.

Well everyone, this is an exciting and very personal post.
Here we are unveiling our new EdShift YouthBase logo.

But can't post this without saying a few words about Gold Rabbit.
They have been with us since EdShift was an idea. They have been instrumental in our journey and have solidified our brand identity.

When we received the new logo we cried tears of joy because when we started to envision the YouthBase we wanted it to be a safe, warm and creative space. The first place children and young people turn to when they need support, advice and guidance around their relationships, emotional wellbeing and sexual health.

And because of this a logo isn't just a logo.

It's a lighthouse for some.
A symbol of hope, a place to call home.

A community.

We recently worked with a husband-and-wife team who wanted to launch a vegan ready-meal business. They were struggling to find healthy, vegan ready meals that suited their busy lifestyle and large family. During lockdown, they began experimenting and batch cooking vegan ready meals.

Once they had refined their range and were ready to start testing the product, they wanted to create a brand identity for a soft-launch of their new business - Easy Vegan Peasy. We consulted with Easy Vegan Peasy to learn about their unique selling points, their target market and discuss how the product would fit with other vegan food companies.

As part of a soft launch, we created a logo and brand identity with prototype packaging design concepts. We selected a playful typeface to enhance the playful name and to appeal to a family audience. As part of the brand and logo design, we developed small vegetable icon shapes. We used a simple, organic-themed colour scheme and packaging design to reflect the nature of the business. Easy Vegan Peasy are now at the product and brand testing stage and have plans to launch their business in the near future.

Axentia Group were looking for new designs for a variety of branded presentations to use as part of a new sales and marketing push. They wanted templates that they could use as sales aids when pitching to prospects.

We designed the PowerPoint template, enabling editing capabilities to allow the Axentia team to modify the text and images as and when they needed. Our design included created bespoke icons, graphics, infographics, and layouts.

The BraveBox Initiative is EdShift’s response to the cost-of-living crisis, ensuring that during this period of uncertainty and heightened risk we utilise our existing resources and capitalise on our partnerships with agencies that are best positioned to reach vulnerable children and young people, increasing our chances of reaching them at the most crucial time.

The BraveBox Initiative's aim is to increase children’s sense of safety, to reduce fear and give them power over their adverse experiences.

NEW – Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Design Project

We’ve been working with EdShift for many years, and each project/brief they present us with is always impressive. It is always a privilege to be able to use our creativity and design skills to help them deliver their important message.

EdShift approached us with enthusiasm about their new mission: ‘PROJECT ZERO’, a new Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) provision to be delivered across schools in West Yorkshire. Funded by West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit.

As part of phase 1 of their project, we delivered:
✅A series of posters with QR codes to engage students in the topic of VAWG
✅Landing page for PROJECT ZERO - https://edshift.co.uk/project-zero/
✅A fully branded, engaging PowerPoint presentation to be delivered at schools
✅Feedback Sheets and Information Flyer

We recently completed a tri-fold flyer design for Rural Energy Saving Grants. Rural Energy Saving Grants wanted a flyer to promote and educate the public about the ECO-4 government energy efficiency scheme, overseen by Ofgem. The scheme is intended to fund upgrades to the least energy efficient homes in the UK.

RESG wanted a professionally designed branded information flyer that informed the public about the details of the energy efficiency scheme, including eligibility criteria and information on how to apply for the grant. As part of the design, we created an infographic explaining the benefits of wall insulation, solar panels, and air source heating.

Our branded and editable PowerPoint Presentation Design template for BiteSize Learning. BiteSize Learning is a Learning, Development and Coaching provider. Their BiteSize courses offer training for businesses and organisations in a range of different topics, including leadership development, sales, communication, and wellbeing.

We developed the design and layout of each slide of the presentation to ensure a visual harmony and a consistent look to reinforce the BiteSize Learning brand and enhance the learner’s experience. We created a title page, placed text boxes, and designed and placed new infographics, charts, and graphs, incorporating BiteSize Learning’s brand colours and five coloured circles branding element into the design.

Our Logo Design and Social Media Banner Design for Babyccinos Jungle Café.

Babyccinos Jungle Café is a baby and child friendly cafe, jungle gym and play area based in Brighouse. Due to launch in November.

We created a jungle and animal themed logo and brand design that appealed to parents and their young children, and reflected the fun, friendly and welcoming environment that parents, children, and babies can enjoy on their visits to the café.

Our social media banner design features a group of cartoon animals in a jungle setting, with the ‘Babyccino’s Jungle Café’ wordmark placed at the centre.

We're looking forward to working with them on their next step to revamp their internal branding.

NEW Case Study!

🟣About Oracle Finance
Oracle Finance are a leading car finance company based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. They help customers fund new or used vehicles from UK motor dealers or private sellers.

🟢What They Asked For
Oracle were preparing to welcome new recruits to the company and were looking for graphic designers to create two new branded PowerPoint presentation designs to aid their induction training. Oracle explained that they were unsatisfied by PowerPoint presentations that they had been using for this training and wanted new designs that were more stylish and on brand.

🔵What We Did
Following from our design consultation with Oracle Finance, we secured a copy of their existing induction PowerPoint presentations so we could further assess how best to approach the new design. We reviewed the design brief and began by experimenting with various design themes and layout ideas. We developed three different themes using the Oracle website design and their brand guidelines as inspiration and presented these designs to the Oracle Team for their feedback.

We wanted to develop layout designs that would allow us to include space that would help make the information more digestible, and place related images and graphics alongside the text so that the slides would be more engaging for the audience. We developed layout designs that would allow us to embed images alongside Oracle’s message to create a more interesting and eye-catching presentation.

We've been working closely with EdShift over the last few months to develop their SpotLight exhibition which launches on the 8th of April. The exhibition will showcase the incredible artwork, poetry, music and stories from the children in the SpotLight programme.

As part of the exhibition development we've had the pleasure of creating a promotional poster for the event as well as postcards, badges, album cover and leaflet.

To ensure the children's creativity was always at the forefront of the designs, we took the children's artwork and converted them into vector/digital drawings and used them as part of the poster design and album artwork.
