One week to go until our AI Day in Llanelli.

If you've been wondering what AI actually means for the day-to-day work of a council, we're going to spend a day finding out.

We'll be looking at things like writing better prompts, checking AI's answers, real council scenarios, governance and the risks and opportunities for councillors.

And importantly, there'll be time to try things out and ask the questions you might not get chance to ask elsewhere.

Llanelli AI Day — announcement

What could AI actually do for your council?

That's the question we're exploring in Llanelli on 27 August.

We're bringing clerks, RFOs, officers and councillors together for a practical day looking at AI through the lens of real council work — not just what AI might do one day.

For clerks and officers, there'll be hands-on work with Copilot prompts, real council scenarios and practical ways to use AI in the day-to-day job.

For members, there's a facilitated forum looking at the opportunities, risks, governance and questions AI raises for councils.
