And just like that, our favorite event of the year is done and dusted at Welland Steam Rally also celebrating its 60th year! 🎉 We installed 20 WiFi access points across the site, covering the entrances for accepting card payments, multiple marquees, and all trade stands. We had an average of 700 clients connected at one time, with peaks of 1,100 clients. Due to the site not having very good phone reception, internet access was crucial for processing payments and for communication with emergency services and security.

We’re proud to have supplied temporary Wi-Fi for Shrewsbury Food Festival ensuring seamless internet access for all trade stands and the main gate. At peak times, we had 750 devices connected to our network—all operating smoothly!

While we were on-site for the entire event to handle any issues, we did hear that a few vendors faced challenges with their SumUp card machines due to a worldwide network outage. We’re here to support our amazing vendors and ensure a fantastic experience for everyone!

The first of many festivals was completed over the weekend for a company we work closely with on the London events. We successfully installed a temporary CCTV system for “The Start of the Line Festival,” catering to a wide range of ages with multiple tents and an open main stage. We installed the system to ensure the safety of all attendees and the security of all equipment on site. 🎉

With a variety of cameras covering the entire site including inside tents, backstage, and the storage compound, the cameras were linked back to our main control room, monitored by a fully SIA-registered professional.

 We kicked off the event season by providing temporary Wi-Fi for the Whitchurch Food & Drink Festival. This service allowed all exhibitors to accept card payments without relying on mobile phone networks. One of the biggest challenges at events is that card machines often work well at the beginning when there are few attendees, but as more people arrive, the mobile network can become overwhelmed. This can lead to failures in card payments and ultimately result in fewer sales for the exhibitors.
