I’ve really enjoyed working with Tom Rowsell on a couple of shirt designs inspired by ancient Anglo-Saxon artefacts.
Tom Rowsell, also known as Survive the Jive, is an English YouTuber and podcaster who explores the ancient history of Europe and its pre-Christian Pagan traditions. His work draws on linguistics, genetics, anthropology and other disciplines to shed light on the lives and beliefs of early peoples.
This particular design is a reconstruction of a 6x god head Saxon motif. It was taken from a damaged saucer-brooch found in a Saxon grave in Fairford in the Cotswolds.
