We are pleased to announce that NET CS, The Church of England, and Cellnex Telecom have agreed a new national Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU is fully Code- and Faculty-compliant and gives individual churches the same protections and benefits already established under the national agreements with the Mobile Network Operators.

It also provides Cellnex and its tower-co businesses with a sub-licence framework aligned to their operating model, together with clear, Faculty-compliant processes to support new church telecoms sites, equipment upgrades, and licence renewals.

Churches seeking further information are encouraged to contact their Archdeacon, Diocese, or NET CS directly.

NET CS has been instructed by an MNO to deliver coverage to another village utilising the CofE portfolio and NetRAN.

Last week we successfully acquired St Andrews Church in Letcombe Regis which has been designed, and will be built, using a Neutral Host style deployment.

With the MNO’s BTS equipment located and combined at low level with the ability to provide coverage from all four MNO’s, utilising four well disguised antennas at the top of the church.

This will deliver coverage to a village that is located in a Rural Partial Not-Spot.

“The site is also located next to a retirement village which incorporates a care home. Improved mobile coverage means the residents will have good and reliable coverage enabling them to keep in touch with their loved ones. Improved coverage is also important for when the PSTN to VoIP transition occurs giving residents increased reliability via mobile backup for their medical devices and alarms which are currently connected to the PSTN.”

For simple installations, the best option is the Cel-Fi SOLO range due to it’s versatility of installation. Cel-Fi SOLO 's can be installed as a standalone unit to provide targeted coverage or even used to drive a larger DAS. A Cel-Fi SOLO can be utilised in multiple commercial and residential scenarios
