‘Not starting, not charging’ - that is how my client described her Dell laptop. After testing the power suppy and confirming it was working properly I turned my attention to the socket inside the laptop. The socket was quite wobbly and after disassembling the cover and extracting the socket out it was clear the this little part was the culprit causing all this headaches. Now the laptop is back in Willingham with his owner.

Recently had this strange experience - Windows 11 laptop has changed its own password after installing updates. I was the person that has set the password and I was the one that installed the updates and now I was the one that sitting in amazement of why the flipping thing is not accepting my password. Learning something new every day I guess…
Anyway, now fixed and back with it’s owner in Sutton.

The power button of this powerful monster was staring or stopping the machine randomly. I suggested, instead of replacing the current power button, to add an extended two meter long replacement that can sit next tho the keyboard, as the main box usually is kept away under the desk. No more leaning, no more guessing- one touch ant the computer is ON.
