CEDAR DNS hardware units are still the primary resource for many television studios that need a solution for common noise problems.

When discussing the BBC production, The Choir, Alex Wrigglesworth, who also works on programs for ITV, BT Sport and Channel 4 told us, “I tend to use CEDAR across most of the stuff that I do, whether it’s live or pre-recorded, but I don’t often use more than around two or three dBs of reduction.”

Noise reduction on location isn’t just about removing unwanted background noise; it’s just as important to preserve natural dialogue, tonal quality and clarity without introducing unwanted artefacts.

You’re unlikely to shoot a scene somewhere this loud, but we wanted to push VoicEX 2 to show what it can do.

VoicEX 2 has helped turn otherwise unusable audio into usable recordings for reality TV and documentaries, where you have less control over the recording environment.
