How it started vs. How it’s going. ⚓️

The Anchor started as a single watercolour sketch on my desk. It became our most-loved card, and eventually, it grew into the wrapping paper you see here.

I love that so many of you have made this design a part of your own traditions. Whether it’s wrapping a wedding gift or sending a note to a friend, the Anchor remains a symbol of the connections that keep us grounded.

Still a favorite, still a classic. 🤍

There are orders, and then there are these orders. 🤍

This morning I finished packing a repeat order for a school back in Cheltenham—the place I used to call home.

Sending a piece of The Samphire Press back to a community that means so much to me is a total full-circle moment. Knowing that these anchor cards will be used to share messages within those school walls makes it so worth it.

The first zest of the season. 🍋

We are so excited to introduce the latest addition to The Botanical Collection: The Lemon Branch.

Originally hand-painted in fluid watercolours, this design has been brought to life on our ivory pebble hammered cardstock. If you look closely, you can see the dimpled, organic texture—a tactile nod to the zest of fresh citrus and the sun-warmed stones of the coast.

It’s more than just a card; it’s a small, sensory ritual to accompany your morning tea and a handwritten note to someone you love.

A Pocket Full of Sea Glass 🌊🐚

We’ve just returned from a few days in New Quay, and my heart feels as full as my coat pockets.

It was a week of the best kind of ‘slow.’ Days measured in harbour walks and ice cream drips.

We hunted for sea glass, got lost in the local shell shop, and fell asleep to the heavy, rhythmic breathing of the ocean.

It’s these moments—the salt air, the tactile treasures, the slow pace—that I try to fold into every Samphire Press order.

I’m back feeling refreshed and ready to pack your orders with a little bit of that coastal magic. 🌿✨

The studio lights are dimming for just a moment while I head to the water’s edge.
