HAPPY RELEASE DAY !!!

Their new album ‘It’s the Long Goodbye’ is out there in the wild today on !

Here are a selection of details from the artwork I created for the album, singles, posters and everything.

This is the 6th album I’ve worked on with Andy & James since 2006, and I couldn’t be prouder to be involved in making the imagery to go with their stunning music!

This album really is something special... Go have a listen, especially go grab a physical copy on vinyl or CD from your local independent record shop or from their merch table.

NEW WORK: Unbelievably, it’s been nearly 20 years since I first started working with The Twilight Sad on artwork for their releases!

I can’t put into words what an amazing honour it is (and how important it is to me) to continue working with them over all that time, helping to build the visual world their brilliant music lives in.

Today, their sixth album ‘It’s The Long Goodbye’ has been announced to the world. It’s out on March 27th on Rock Action Records. Go and pre-order it now!

NEW WORK! Today sees the release of the new The Twilight Sad single ‘Waiting for the Phone Call’ on Rock Action Records - AND the announcement of a UK/European tour in 2026!

I’ve worked with Andy and James on the bands artwork for nearly 20 years now! They’re some of my favourite people and they make some of my favourite music. It’s always exciting to be able to continue to evolve the visuals alongside their ever-evolving sound.

I’ve designed and illustrated the cover artwork for the single and the tour poster.

This time I was also able to work with my good friend Casey Raymond on an animated video for the track too! He did a brilliant job to bring it all to life!

NEW WORK: I am so honoured to have been asked by South Facing to design the poster for the huge Mogwai and LANKUM gig at the Crystal Palace Bowl on 7th August. Really looking forward to this one!

NEW WORK! It’s been absolutely amazing to once again be working with Mogwai and to be entrusted with creating the artwork for their new album ‘The Bad Fire’!!

Here is the cover and a peek at the range of different physical formats I’ve designed and illustrated the artwork for.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Dustin O'Halloran’s ‘Lumiere’ is 13 years old! Released on 28th February 2011 on 130701 / FatCat Records.

I designed the Vinyl and CD artwork based around stills from visuals created by Christina Vantzou

It is a truly beautiful album that I still listen to all the time.

NEW WORK! I’m so proud to have been asked to design the poster for the Big City Festival 2024.

This is a new one day festival curated by Mogwai in collaboration with Regular Music. It features an amazing lineup of some of my favourite bands (and to be honest, some of my favourite people in general).

It’s going to be quite some day on June 29th at Queen’s Park in Glasgow!

Tickets go on sale this Friday 9th Feb at 9am.

NEW WORK! Five track 10" of Lomond Campbell’s excellent remixes of Kathryn Joseph’s 'for you who are the wronged!

Out today on Rock Action Records

Using one of Kathryn's always beautiful, minimal geometric photographs for the main image, I did the design and layout for the 10" and range of t-shirts and totes too.

Thankyou Rough Trade!!

‘Living In Colour - The Art of Scott Hutchison’ has been picked at #7 in their Books of the Year 2023.

Am still immensely proud to have been involved in designing this book alongside the Hutchison family, Faber Music Publications and of course all the help from the Frightened Rabbit fans. I hope that people continue to delve into this book and enjoy the breadth of Scott’s genius.

OUT NOW! Today see’s the release of the new Hauschka album ‘Philanthropy’ on City Slang

Here are a few details from across the album artwork I designed and illustrated.

I loved being able to work with Volker again on this new album. Was such an enjoyable process to be given free reign to find a way to visually convey not only the themes behind the songs but also something of the almost abstract, playful and ever shifting rhythms that I love in his music.

I can’t wait to see these tracks performed live next month! If you’re anywhere near any of the places Volker is playing in Europe and North America in the coming months, I throughly recommend you go along, it’ll be amazing!
