We recently completed a fully managed upgrade for Unwin Jones Partnership, moving them from a legacy PBX phone system that was using ISDN lines to a modern VoIP cloud phone system across their Carlisle and Glasgow offices.

The new solution was designed around flexible working, with a combination of desk phones and Webex mobile apps so users can stay connected whether they are in the office or on site with clients. We also managed the supporting network changes, including voice VLAN configuration and firewall rules, to ensure the system delivers the reliability and performance needed for day-to-day business use.

Another successful installation completed.
We recently upgraded a rural client from BT , where they were limited to just 40Mbps download and 10Mbps upload.

They’re now achieving speeds of around 210Mbps down and 20Mbps up.

With WiFi 7 installed throughout the building, they now have strong, reliable connectivity across the entire site.

A full fibre upgrade - and a proper tidy-up too.
We recently migrated a client from SoGEA to full fibre. The old setup had been left in a mess by the previous IT provider, with the router and equipment left on the floor and cables like spaghetti.

We could have done the easy thing, replaced the router with our new one and left it as it was.....

But that's not how we do things. Instead, we took the time to wall-mount the equipment, tidy the cabling, and leave the installation clean, neat, and professional.

At Bytewise IT, we believe customer service means doing the job properly - not just doing the minimum.

A busy weekend for the Bytewise IT team, carrying out an out-of-hours server upgrade for one of our clients.

This server was due to be replaced earlier this year, but with the current pricing and availability of server hardware, SSDs and RAM, we’ve had to use our experience to think outside the box and find a solution that works.

By upgrading the CPUs from 8-core to 14-core processors and adding an extra 64GB of RAM, we’ve created the capacity needed for an additional virtual machine to support the client’s new software application.

It’s a good example of how the right expertise can help businesses get more from their existing infrastructure while keeping costs under control.
