Not related to fabric but I felt I needed to share … a hot water bottle exploded on me last week- Following on from Friday… please be safe and vigilant with your hot bottles. I urge you to take a look at the expiry date and get rid of it if it’s expired.

Look for the Daisy symbol usually on the inner neck of the bottle - the central number is the year of manufacture so if it’s 2 years after then when it is classed to be expired. Quite a short lifespan really.

1000’s of people are burn and permanently scolded and scarred from hot water bottles each year - the bottles are at risk of splitting, exploding and bursting - all things that will cause significant damage to your skin or eyes etc

P.s some recycling centres will take them otherwise I have a few creative ideas I might try to re-purpose the rubber!
