We still have many customers that don't back up their devices incase of it being broken, lost or stolen. It is so important to ensure you are backing up. In this particular case me managed to get the phone working to the point of being able to back up all the contacts, messages and photos etc.

🤖 If it's an android device make sure you are backing up to your Google account.

🍏 If it's an Apple account make sure you are backing up to your Apple account. iCloud etc.
