We had a brilliant day at the Engineering Across the Border showcase in Monaghan, meeting students from all the participating schools and discussing career paths in engineering and manufacturing.👷

It was great to see the range of ideas, creativity and problem solving on display, and to speak with students about the opportunities available within the industry.

Great to have been a part of Engineering Across the Border, where we had the pleasure of working with Cookstown High School on a real world “wicked problem.”

We were delighted to host the students on two site visits, starting at our previous premises and then again at our new site following our move. It was great to see how the students approached the challenge and explored possible solutions after each visit.👏

Experiences like this show just how bright the future of engineering is. The next generation is already thinking creatively, solving problems and pushing boundaries, and we’re excited to see where it takes them.🤩

📢 Engineering Across the Border – 2.0!

MEGA are absolutely delighted to kick off the second year of Engineering Across the Border, significantly expanding this vital cross-border initiative for skills development and career exposure in the manufacturing & engineering sector!

Funded by InterTradeIreland, MEGA is once again partnering with Savvy Teens to connect classrooms directly with industry, illuminating the diverse and high-impact career potential within engineering and manufacturing.

📈 Scale Up, Skill Up!

This year, we are doubling the programme's reach across the island:

- 12 Schools (6 North, 6 South): Bringing Design Thinking challenges to 230 students.

- 12 Companies (6 North, 6 South): Providing real-world "wicked problems," mentorship and invaluable on-site experience.

Participating students come from communities across the island.
