I am thinking of making regular updates about the business on here. Weekly if there is enough going on, or bi weekly at the very least. I figured it is a good way to share what I am working on and how things are progressing behind the scenes.

Another market done and dusted last Saturday at Tynemouth (31.01.2026). No sales this time, but a few good conversations and some extra eyes on the work. It is still early in the year, so I am not too downhearted. These things take time.

The Pacific Rim poster is now finished and live on my Etsy page.

I am still working through the My Hero Academia Manga Chapter 1 poster. It is a long one, but progress is steady and it is shaping up well.

I have also started a new project that has been on my list since day one. The Core. I really enjoy the film, and after a long time figuring out the right approach, I have finally settled on a poster design I am happy with. Work is now underway.

Alongside that, I have started a new poster set. I already had the first Twilight film turned into a poster, and I am now working through the rest of the series. I am keeping the book cover inspired approach, with a subtle tweak to split the final book into separate posters for Part One and Part Two of the films.

Finally, I received a test print for a potential new product. Turning my posters into jigsaw puzzles. This idea comes from a pastime my wife and I enjoy, and it is something I have been considering for a while. I am testing quality and how practical they are to complete before committing. If they hold up well, I will likely add them to the shop. If there are specific poster designs you would like to see as jigsaws, let me know and I will see what is possible.

I’ve been a bit quiet with posts and updates so far this year. First market of the year was a couple of weeks back at Tynemouth and it went really well. Got the work out there again and built up some more interest, which was great to see.

I’ve got a couple of posters in progress right now. First up is Pacific Rim. I’ve always loved the film but put this one off for a while because of all the different languages. After a bit of research I tracked down the translations and figured out a solid way to include the Japanese text used in the film, which has made it a really enjoyable one to work on.

The second poster is for My Hero Academia. This one’s being done the same way as my Dragon Ball manga poster. I’m taking the entirety of issue one and turning it into a single poster, written out in all caps to match the manga style. With the anime recently wrapping up its final series, which was incredible, it felt like a good time to go back to where it all started.

I’ve still got far too many posters sitting in the queue waiting to be written, and I’m hoping to get to more markets over the next few months. I’ll keep posting updates as those get confirmed.

I still can’t quite believe that something I started after seeing a similar idea online, mainly as a way to switch off and de stress, has grown into this. I do sometimes worry that my designs are too simple or too minimalist, but that’s exactly what I enjoy about them and why they work for me. I make these first and foremost as a distraction and a way to calm the constant noise in my head.

Merry Christmas everyone.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has supported ScriptedRealityArt this year. Whether you liked a post, shared something, messaged with interest, or bought a poster, it genuinely means a lot. This little side project has grown way more than I expected, and that is entirely down to the support.
Quick heads up that production will slow down a bit over the Christmas period while print partners and couriers take a short break. Orders will still be open, they may just take a little longer than usual to move.

As we get closer to Christmas. Please keep in mind, yes you can still order posters (they make a great gift). But the later you leave it, the less guarantee of it arriving in time. I'd aim for the 17th to be safe.
