We caught Agnes red-pawed after she had a website MOT. On first assumption: an unpaid invoice was heading her way, paws and all. Turns out there was nothing to chase her for. No fee, no bill, not even a treat required. She got off easy this time. If your own website is due for a check, get in touch. Meanwhile, Agnes has moved on to her next scheme, currently under investigation for several suspicious muddy paw prints.

Branding Box became B Corp certified at the start of this year, off the back of an independent assessment of how we treat our team, our clients, our suppliers and the planet.

That's what lets us display the B Corp logo alongside our own.

B Corp has just updated the rules for how that logo can be used. A subtitle of "Learn more at bcorp.com" has been added.

The Reasoning:
Sustainability marks are under more scrutiny than ever, and legislation in several markets now expects brands to substantiate claims like this rather than simply display them. Linking to bcorp.com gives people the criteria and evidence behind the mark. It also settles something that often gets lost: B Corp certifies the company, not a single product, and the link makes that clear to anyone checking.

It's a useful reminder of what a Call to Action (CTA) is actually for.

A CTA isn't just a prompt to click; done properly, it's a route to the evidence behind a claim. "Learn more at bcorp.com" is exactly that: a real answer for anyone who wants to know what our certification means and how we earned it.

As the owner of Branding Box, Richard is usually the one behind the scenes keeping everything moving, supporting the team and making sure our clients get the very best from us.

Over the years, he’s helped shape Branding Box into the business it is today. From meeting clients and developing ideas to planning projects, reviewing work and ensuring nobody forgets the finer details, there’s rarely a quiet day.

One year ago, Branding Box became an accredited Living Wage Employer.

This year, the Living Wage campaign itself turns 25. In that time, it has helped put more than £4 billion back into the pockets of low-paid workers across the UK.

We are glad to be a small part of that record. Paying the real Living Wage, calculated on what people actually need to live rather than the government minimum, is not a perk. It is how we think pay should work.

One year on, the commitment stands. Here is to the next one.

Happy birthday, Josh. 🎉

Josh joined the Branding Box team nearly four years ago as a part-time designer, and he’s certainly been busy since then.

Over the years, he’s worked on countless logo and graphic design projects, built numerous websites and created hundreds of social media posts. Along the way, he’s continued to refine his skills and has become an excellent designer, always bringing fresh ideas and creative concepts to the table.

To celebrate his birthday, we’ve put together a little photo dump of Josh over the years, including one from when he first joined us.

P.S. We know Josh will be horrified by this post, but it is his birthday, so we’ve softened the blow by giving him the day off.
