A customer brought this to us as their PC was overheating.

The fan that helps keep the processing chip cool can get very clogged up with dust as you can see from the photos.

We took it apart and cleaned it (and the other fans/components too) and here it is, good as new.

Note: Keeping a desktop computer off carpet and in a well ventilated area helps with this and overheating issues but we do recommend keeping an eye on the dust inside your machine too.

Customer brought their machine to me as it kept shutting down.

After inspection, it was clear it was overheating owing to the amount of dust that had accumulated.

Very common issue. Even if it looks fine from the outside, it can be very dusty inside. Computer now running perfectly 😊

A lot of customers have been asking me why new computers and some new parts are more expensive.

Unfortunately, the price of computer memory has been going up exponentially - this affects hard drives (solid state drives) and RAM, and therefore has a knock on effect to the price of computers.

Side note: how many people know the difference between a laptop and a desktop? 👀😊

You don't need to upgrade just yet. Your computer will continue to work perfectly safely on Windows 10 for another 2 years at least.
