Rebrand for Pet Passion To Profit 🐶

I’ve been a mentor for Bill & Emma on The Pet Groomer Business Programme for a few years, so I jumped at the chance to freshen up their Pet Passion to Profit business!⭐️

We kept the design simple, but effective in communicating the pet/human connection, values of the business and personality through the logo mark, icons and colour palette.

I love the new look!🐾

Sometimes a project comes my way that I just can’t wait to get stuck into and a brand refresh for Sir Whippy was exactly that!🍦

We combined some exisiting colours from the previous Sir Whippy logo and vans, with a fresh, fun and exciting new selection of colours. A playful font and simple line drawing of a Whippy ice cream for the logo completed the new look.

I’ve loved seeing how Andy has used the new logo on things like ice cream wafers and stickers for the cups 🍨

We created a dreamy feminine colour palette and cute sketch-style illustrations to express her warm personality, attracting the kind of clients she wants to work with. I’m so in love with the outcome ♥️

I’m so proud of how far the business has come since the days of selling handmade cards at Christmas fayres 🤣

I’m so grateful to have such a brilliant list of clients, past and present, that trust me with their businesses. My business is my baby, so it means so much.

I often get asked where it all began… and it was just like this picture!⬇️

It was 2017, I’d just turned 18 and had signed up to Farnborough College to study graphic design at A-levels. I decided to set up my own business on the side, creating personalised handmade cards.

My Mum and Nan were so incredible, coming with me to every craft fair within a 60 minute drive, taking up a lot of weekends and some weekday evenings (particularly near Christmas)🥹

I’d go to college during the day and make all of my cards at night. A whopping £1 for an A6 card and £1.50 for A5 😂

The more I posted online and shared in local community groups, the quicker it evolved into designing things digitally. Wedding stationery mainly, but also things like menus, flyers and business cards.

Once the 2 years at college finished, I decided university wasn’t for me and quickly landed a job as an artworker locally. The business continued to build throughout this job, and my next one at a printers, before I took the leap in 2019 to go self-employed.

THANKFULLY, my designs had evolved to be an awful lot better than these cards by then 😂

And here we are today. Coming up to 9 years running my what should have been side hustle, working with some incredible businesses 🙌🏼

A logo is nice, but compared to a full visual identity... 👀

There is so much power in having a consistent full visual identity. Compared to having just a logo, it will:

👉🏼 Build up know, like and trust with your audience
👉🏼 Increase recognition
👉🏼 Communicate your brand personality, tone of voice & message
👉🏼 Give you more opportunities to create fun marketing materials

Having more assets to work with in your business that have been designed uniquely for you is a HUGE advantage, particularly nowadays when most industries are saturated with new, emerging businesses, creating more and more competition.

Pink Coral Community brand refresh 🪸

I've been a member of Pink Coral for a year and absolutely love what Nikki has built (and is continuing to build!), so I jumped at the chance to help with a refresh when she asked me a couple of months ago!🥰

The business has grown dramatically over the last couple of years and the DIY look just wasn't cutting it anymore. We kept a very similar colour palette but jazzed up the logo suite, created some funky patterns & icons and developed a consistent font library.

Sometimes a full rebrand isn't needed and a simple brand refresh does the job!✨

Have you ever tried to force a puzzle piece into the wrong space?🧩

Most of us have been there. You've been building a complicated puzzle for a while and you're getting fed up with staring at pieces that all look the same... so you just try and force a piece in that looks like it could go in the empty space.

Sure, at first glance it looks okay, but you can tell something's off.

❌ The colours don't fit correctly.
❌ There isn't a consistent flow.
❌ The whole picture just doesn't really click.

Until you find the piece that makes the picture work, you'll be held back.

The same goes for building a brand identity without brand strategy.

If you jump straight to the identity without getting clear on your message, audience, tone and other foundational elements, your visuals will struggle to feel like they fit.

Brand strategy isn't optional waffle that designers charge you for just for the fun of it, it's the framework that makes all of your visuals meaningful and actually WORK for your business.

Logo and social templates for Redwood Accounting ✨

Earlier this year, Beth got in touch needing a simple logo and social media templates to keep her consistent within her new accounting business.

She wanted the new logo to feel feminine and sophisticated, showing that accounting doesn’t have to be boring 😴

We worked together to produce these three variations of her new logo, along with a few social media templates, consistent colour palette and font library. This gave her enough to take away and develop the rest of her brand on her own, in her own time 🙌🏼

Unpopular opinion, but sometimes you don’t need to go in all guns blazing and get a fully fledged brand identity created from the get go. The simple things that are enough to get you off the ground are often enough in the early days, particularly if you’re working on a budget!
