26/05/21 Bogus call scam

Many calls today from customers saying they are receiving calls from their internet provider saying the internet will be cut off.
Automated calls starting "We will be discontinuing your internet connection within 24 to 48 hours due to illegal activity."
There are many similar naratives but the message is the same in that they are trying gain access to your PC/tablet/phone to exploit your personal details/password/banking details etc.
Please put down the phone and block their number if you are able to.

Hello
After the recent lockdown announcements, we will be closing our doors on January 6th, but we will be fully operational behind the scenes, supplying goods and I.T equipment, so please call us if you have any requirements.
Should you have a laptop, desktop, tablet or phone in need of repair please call us on 01884 35444 or email [email protected] to first discuss if a repair is necessary, if it is we will take your details and arrange a plan, either for a contactless delivery or collection.
When we receive your device, it will be fully cleansed and as soon as we have a diagnosis of the problem and cost, we will contact you for approval.
Our phone lines are manned 9.00 – 5.30 Monday to Friday
We look forward to seeing you as soon as we are able to.
