Three years ago today, I took a leap and started SinglePoint Calls with our first 8 call handlers.
I'd been frustrated by the poor service I'd experienced from other telephone answering providers, and I knew there had to be a better way to do it - one that actually put clients and their callers first.
Fast forward to today, and we've grown to a brilliant team of 40 call handlers based here in Daventry, supporting businesses across the UK 24/7. We're handling everything from telephone answering and live chat to recruitment call handling and IT support.
But the number I'm most proud of isn't the 40 people - it's the relationships we've built. With our clients who trust us to be their voice. With the local businesses we support. And with every single person on our team who makes this work every single day.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable people to join our reserve team!

About Us:
We are a local Daventry company providing 24/7 telephone answering services to businesses across the UK. When our clients can’t answer their phones, we’re there to catch those calls.

The Role:
This is a casual worker contract with no guaranteed hours. You’ll be added to our bank of reserve workers to cover shifts when needed. Great if you’re looking for extra income around other commitments! Office based role at our Head office: Heritage House, Vicar Lane, Daventry, NN11 4GD

You’ll be answering calls, taking messages, and providing customer service for our clients.

The Pay:
£12.50 per hour (standard hours)
£15.00 per hour (unsociable hours)

What We’re Looking For:
• Good communication skills
• Caring and empathetic
• IT skills (Outlook, Excel, web applications)
• Fast and accurate typing
• Calm under pressure
• Works well in a team and independently

What We Offer:

About Us
We started SinglePoint Calls in 2022 with one goal – to make telephone answering better. We’d used the big services before, and while they worked at first, they quickly became expensive, robotic, and detached from the businesses they were meant to represent. So we decided to do things differently.
Fast forward to today: We’ve grown to a team of 45+ PAs who handle over 40,000 calls, messages, and emails every month for businesses of all sizes—from solicitors and property agents to trades, tech, and healthcare companies. We don’t just take messages. We genuinely get to know our clients and their customers, acting as a real extension of their team.

The Job
We need an experienced Team Manager to manage our people across all our services. You'll manage teams covering telephone answering, live chat, virtual recruitment screening, IT ticketing, and admin support, making sure we continue to deliver excellent service.
You'll be responsible for our PAs, Team Leaders, and Go To Persons (GTPs), focusing on developing the team, keeping performance high, and maintaining our reputation. The role includes occasional evening shifts to support our evening and night shift teams.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing and developing teams across all our services
Regular 1:1s and performance reviews with your team
Handling staff absences, sickness and return to work interviews
Sorting out shift scheduling and finding cover when people are off
Dealing with conduct issues and disciplinary processes when needed
Doing quality checks on calls and service delivery
Taking calls yourself when required to keep within SLA requirements
Handling customer complaints and escalations
Working closely with Directors, Operations and HR / Learning & Development
Working with other teams across the business
Training new people and helping existing team members develop
Making sure everyone follows company policies and procedures

What We Need
Essential:
Team Manager experience with proper people management responsibilities
Solid people management experience - absences, disciplinaries, 1:1s, the works
Solid HR knowledge and understanding of processes
Can handle customers and complaints
Good with Microsoft Office
Happy to work occasional evenings

Desirable:
Experience in a telephone answering service or contact centre
Experience working in a 24 hour business
Experience with shift scheduling

What You Get
Money & Benefits:
£27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
4 on 4 off shifts (8am-6:30pm)
28 days annual leave (works out to 21 days with 4 on 4 off shifts) with increases after probation

Introducing the new and improved SinglePoint Calls!

What started as a simple chat about updating our sales material has turned into a full business rebrand. When we set out at the beginning of the year, we had no idea just how much time, energy and collaboration it would take. But every bit of it has been worth it.

Our new look reflects the growth SinglePoint has seen over the past 31 months and the direction we're headed in. Staying true to our core values whilst elevating how we present ourselves to the world.

We're still the same great company, just with even better branding!
