UPDATE - Stanford Hall, Belvoir Castle

With the news being released on Thursday that events can now take place outdoors we have been working very hard to read through the documents and guidance released by the government alongside the very best professionals in the industry we work with for event safety.

Meetings took place today with our environmental health and event management planning consultants at both Stanford and Belvoir (the two closest events coming up).

We are very pleased to say that we believe the events can be produced with social distancing of 2 metres. We are also working on adding both drive in AND normal attendance options (distancing).

What this means is you can drive in and not leave your car OR park up and setup as per before (but with 2 metre social distancing).

We are writing the documents and plans to present to the local councils on Monday which will include things like extra toilets, toilet spacing, walkways, food controls and much more. Safety is number one but it is possible to produce the events in a way that meets covid secure guidelines.

Part of our ongoing work will look at the feasibility of running the events as of course our production costs will spiral.

Some important facts to summarise:

We know 75% of people want to attend in 2020 as long as it is safe. More if we include drive in.

We are doing our best to produce the events but it is not a given until we know more next week.

Stanford will most likely move to later in August to allow more time for us to close roads and setup systems.

Both Stanford and Belvoir event sites will change and everything will happen in one huge field.

Depending on drive in uptake we would broadcast the sound to your car stereo over FM radio.

We may or may not be able to offer camping in 2020.

People with tickets can use them in 2021 if they do not want to attend in 2020... no pressure.

We greatly appreciate your support and are trying to do the best we can given the situation and feedback from you all.

Tickets are available online at www.fireworkchampions.co.uk and you have a 100% guarantee in them being valid for single use in 2020 or at any event afterwards if 2020 doesn't go ahead (or you do not wish to attend)

We're waiting still...

Whilst large events are currently not possible we're just holding tight before making any decisions about Firework Champions 2020. We will know more in June.

Thank you for your support and patience it means the world to us. We know how much people want to attend Firework Champions but want to assure you that safety will always come first. Remember if you have tickets already they will be valid for any one of the events we produce in the next 3 years. News about 2020 will follow in June.
