“ MysonPages have worked with the Foodbank for sometime now as it’s always easier to do the things you do, for others.
If we were to be asked to collect at a supermarket or donate time to work at there, we’d struggle, but making the IT work, and keeping it available – well that’s easy.
What is also easy is asking our friends in the local business community to help too, and it’s great to see our logo along with customers and friends now sponsoring the new wheels!”

Educating future IT experts!

Here at PCrefurb HQ we recently received a request from Susan Barrow, Faculty Leader Computer Science & Business at Glossopdale School & Sixth Form, Susan was on the hunt for some computer hardware that she could use to create practical lessons on the inner workings of PCs. For example, where and how to install a CPU and RAM.

Susan told us “I plan to get the Year 7 students to work on this task, my aim is to encourage a lot more females as numbers are still low when it comes to females opting for Computer Science at GCSE”.

Yesterday Susan collected five PCs donated to us by one of our long term supporters, MysonPages.com. We know that their Managing Director, David Brereton, will be incredibly supportive of the school’s commitment to educating IT experts of the future.

We look forward to hearing how the students got on!

MysonPages.com have long been supporters of Springhill Hospice through its Business Buddies networking group, and in recent years have begun a growing and successful partnership as our technology provider.

Last year they put a team together to 'Climb Every Mountain'.
To complete the challenge, they walked up the spiral stairs at their home, Zen Internet's HQ, with the aim of climbing the height of Everest.

The team completed 744 ascents of the stairs and raised an incredible £2,815 plus £520.50 gift aid.

Thanks to the whole team for being part of something amazing.

"It was great to see everyone ‘getting into it’ as we did the training walks leading up to the event. There were lots of great moments but if I had to pick one it would be listening to our apprentice, Andrew, talk about how proud he was of himself for completing the challenge."
