Every now and then something lands in your inbox that just feels right, and this was one of those moments.

We are proud to be supporting Liam Reeves, a Derby-based rider taking on an extraordinary endurance challenge and World Record attempt. He is attempting to cycle from Land’s End to John o’Groats, covering around 840 miles on a Brompton folding bike, with the aim of completing the route in under 78 hours while raising awareness and funds for Mind.

What makes this even more powerful is not just the challenge itself, but the reason behind it. Liam’s motivation comes from what he sees every day in his role within the East Midlands Ambulance Service. A significant proportion of the emergency calls he handles are related to mental health, highlighting both the scale of the issue and the pressure it places on individuals and the NHS alike.

This challenge is rooted in resilience, lived experience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

At Essential Print Services, we have committed to covering the crew accommodation to help ensure the team supporting Liam can do so safely throughout the attempt.

There is still vital support needed to make this happen, including the support vehicle and fuel, rider nutrition and hydration, bike servicing and spares, and tracking and safety equipment. Liam is building this effort around local businesses rather than national sponsors, with a strong focus on community involvement and shared pride.
