Do you remember MINESWEEPER?

Here is our OWN version built on a recent training day using Javascript.

The numbers on the board represent how many bombs are adjacent to a square.
For example, if a square has a "3"on it, then there are 3 bombs next to that square.
The bombs could be above, below, right left, or diagonal to the square.
Avoid all the bombs and expose all the empty spaces to win Minesweeper.

Simples and we had a blast! 💣

1. Focus on the fundamentals 🔴
Definitely start with HTML or CSS before...
If you’re looking for something easy: Python
If you want a solid foundation to make you a master developer: C
If you’re looking for a job or want to make mobile apps: Kotlin or Swift
If you want to try front-end development: Javascript
If you’re programming for your startup’s website: Ruby (YAY! 😄).

2. Learn to ask for help 🟠
There are plenty of forums to help you learn more about a language, to problem solve and to work smarter not harder.
A traditional favourite is STACK OVERFLOW.

We did research and found a survey that proved people started coding between age 5 and 30.

The majority of respondents (45%) started coding at ages between 10 and 14 years.

The average age for starting coding is ~14 years.

Tech is a BIG part of this generation, but it is never too late to learn!

Teen Tech Week begins on the first Sunday of March and runs for a full week! 🗓

There is less than a week until it begins.

It is an annual event usually hosted by local libraries to encourage teens to make the most of the digital hardware available in their facilities.

Digital media has grown exponentially over the years, and teens are sometimes left behind.
This holiday makes sure they keep up to date in a guided manner.

They are taught new skills, they learn to access safe content on the internet, and they also learn to use all the available digital tools at their disposal.
