Did you know that in many apps in Windows, Shift-F3 cycles between upper case/initial upper case/lower case...? For all those time you accidentally type a whole load of CAPS. This works in Word and WhatsApp, among others.

Microsoft are now offering a year of free extended support (updates for Windows 10) to many European users. It's well worth trying to enrol in the Windows Update screen in Settings.

Beware of scam phonecall claiming to be the police.

I received a phone call today from a Private Number, and the caller said they were calling from Brixton Police Station. He said that they had a young man in custody that was claiming to be my nephew, and gave me the name he was claiming as his identity. The caller said that he had claimed to live at my address, and the address he gave was correct.

He said that this young man was in possession of bank card registered to my address and that he had my permission to use them.

At this point I stopped him and told him I strongly suspected that this was a scam, and he then hung up on me.

Beware of any call of this nature, call them out, and if they don't hang up, make sure you do.

When buying a new printer, many people find they have a stock of ink cartridges left over that they no longer have a use for. I offer to match these cartridges up with people who can still use them, at no cost.

Although Zen Internet have been fantastic, I was disappointed to find out that as Openreach will not be installing full fibre in my area I would not be able to get it through Zen. So now up and running on Box Broadband...

Looks good so far, but early days. Will update how it goes.

The postal service is so bad in Dorking at the moment that we made the BBC website!! Apologies for any delays in delivery of parts for repairs.

Dorking residents say post is still being delayed, with one getting 63 letters in one day.

For anyone thinking of buying a Samsung Fold or Flip phone, my advice would be don't. After 6 months the screen on mine broke this morning when I opened it. It's been looked after meticulously, never dropped or otherwise mistreated.

The inner LCD screen broke down the fold line. Having now looked up the problem online it appears I am far from alone and Samsung have a habit of claiming misuse in these cases, so I'm far from optimistic of getting it fixed under warranty.

Having owned Samsung phones since the first Galaxy, I'm very disappointed. Even if it does get fixed or replaced under warranty I'll be without it for up to a month.
