She did it! 🎉

Our colleague Ruth Chalmers has conquered the 25m fore-mast of RRS Discovery and abseiled 40m off the ship, raising an incredible £1,390 for Maggie's Dundee in the process.

Maggie's provides vital practical, emotional and psychological support for people with cancer, and Ruth's effort will make a real difference to the people who need it most.

Well done, Ruth we couldn't be prouder! And thank you to everyone who donated and cheered her on.

At Brightsolid, our people and our community are at the heart of everything we do and this week was a great reminder of that.

We were delighted to welcome Liam and Alexander from a local Dundee school for a week of work experience. The pair got stuck in across a number of teams throughout the organisation, gaining hands-on insight into how we support service operations and the wide range of roles that make up a tech business. It's been brilliant watching them grow in confidence over the week and we hope it's an experience they'll carry with them.

We also had the pleasure of joining our neighbours Carolina House Trust in celebrating Foster Care Fortnight, with the Dough Dough Pizza Co van rolling up to our HQ. We were proud to come together over lunch in support of such an important cause to recognise the incredible foster carers in our community.
