Day three of three at PMK in Moy, and what a lovely group to finish the week with.

It has been great getting to know everyone over the past few days and seeing how keen they are to build their skills.

It is always encouraging to work with employers who see the real value in investing in training. It benefits the business, but it also gives staff more confidence in their everyday work.

Thanks again to the team for making me feel so welcome. I have really enjoyed working with you all this week.

Back in Moy today for my second visit to .electrical to deliver more Excel training. Another great session with another great group… although I’ve been told they might be saving the best group for last! We’ll see tomorrow… 🙈

Working close to home today, and it was lovely to make my first visit to .electrical in Moy. Great to meet the team on the first of my three sessions with them.

Happy International Women’s Day to me, myself and I – otherwise known as the full team at TrainIT

Today I am celebrating the woman who:

• Designs the training
• Delivers the training
• Answers the emails
• Fixes whatever goes wrong with the tech
• And still manages to smile when someone joins the session on mute for the tenth time

Running TrainIT as a one‑person business means I wear every hat, sometimes all at once. It is chaotic, rewarding and genuinely good fun.

Here’s to the one‑woman businesses held together by grit, caffeine, and more chocolate than anyone will ever admit. 🍫

Happy International Women’s Day to all the brilliant women out there. And a small cheer for the woman behind TrainIT too. 😁

As the holiday season approaches, I’ll be taking a slightly longer break than usual, from Friday 19th December until Monday 19th January 2026.

My diary is already full for January and February, with only limited availability in March.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me again this year. I look forward to reconnecting in 2026.

Yesterday brought the close of another series of Excel training sessions with GEDA Construction . Several participants joined across two or more levels - Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced, which made it especially rewarding to see their skills build.

It’s clear that Geda, like many of my other clients, place real importance on training and on how it is offered, ensuring staff have the chance to develop their skills in ways that suit them.

In advance of the training, I discovered that one of the participants was actually a relative I had never met before, a pleasant surprise that made the sessions feel a little more personal.

My thanks to Geda for choosing TrainIT for their IT training again this year, and a very big thank you to Ashley Graham who coordinated everything with such professionalism and care, always ready to support participants, and address any issues or question that I had.

It was a fantastic group to round off the year’s training, and I look forward to working with you all again in 2026.

Back in Ballymena yesterday with another very pleasant group, all working to build and improve their Excel skills. Lots of good questions, plenty of practical problem-solving. Thanks to everyone for their input, and for making it a genuinely enjoyable session to deliver.

It's always encouraging to see companies investing in their staff, giving them the time and space to build on their skills and learn new ones. It makes a real difference.

Another day of Excel training, back in Ballymena again today with yet another great group of participants. Day 4 of 5: mostly Excel, with one Teams session added in for good measure. A change of topic, a change of pace, and a nice shift in focus.

It’s been a very busy, but rewarding week. Looking forward to wrapping it up tomorrow with one final online Excel training course with another great company, who are always a pleasure to work with.

I’ve been warned not to keep the team late tomorrow - apparently, Friday at 2.30 pm marks the start of their weekend. I don’t think that’ll be a problem… mine will be starting then too.

Back in Ballymena today for another round of Excel training. Great group, with plenty of moments where things just clicked.

One person told me they weren’t keen on slicers, which doesn’t happen too often. I took that as a challenge and by the end of the session, I think I'd shifted their view a little. 🤞

Always satisfying when someone says what they’ve learned will save them time. That’s my aim!

Thanks to everyone who joined today, and to Nicole for organising and coordinating the training. Looking forward to being back on Thursday with a new group.

It’s always a pleasure to return to , where the welcome is as warm as ever from Shirley. She’s one of those quietly brilliant people who makes everything run smoothly behind the scenes. And it’s not just me who thinks so - her colleagues say the same! Shirley is an absolutely lovely person who genuinely cares, always offers help and support, and makes sure no one runs low on sweets during training. 🍬

As for today’s participants - what a great group! Some were clearly very comfortable with spreadsheets and formulas, while everyone brought something valuable to the session. Many are back tomorrow for the Intermediate level, and we’re just getting started… I’m already looking forward to it.

Session 8 of 8.

Eight very different groups. Excel Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced. What a privilege it was to be asked back to deliver this additional training.

Today’s group wrapped up the final session with curiosity, good humour, and plenty of practical questions. Just the way I like it.

Thanks to Valerie and Claire for coordinating and making the training all run so smoothly, and to every participant who attended, asking questions, and making the learning real, and very rewarding and enjoyable from start to finish.

They probably think I’m a bit of an Excel nerd - and they wouldn’t be wrong. But, hopefully that passion shone through in every session, whether it was exploring shortcuts, formulas, or pivot tables.

I have no doubt the organisation spreadsheets are now much sharper, faster and more streamlined, thanks to the features and tools covered.
