London to Brighton 2025 🚴‍♂️☀️

What a day! Yesterday’s ride was absolutely brilliant — perfect weather, great vibes, and an atmosphere that kept everyone smiling the whole way.

Huge thanks to everyone who took part, supported, and cheered us on. From the early London start to the noisy Brighton finish line, the energy was incredible. Legs are aching today, but spirits are high!

This week, James and Julian had the pleasure of being invited to Bexhill College for the Employers Board and Reverse Job Fair. The college gave us a brilliant tour, walking us through the digital and media courses they offer, some of the curriculum, and welcoming our input.

We then had the opportunity to meet students from these courses, discussing their career aspirations and the skills that employers are really looking for in the industry. It was inspiring to see such a passionate younger generation with big ambitions – the future of tech and media is in great hands!

Emergency Connectivity Restoration! 🚨

The Challenge ⚡

During construction work, a critical fibre link between two key buildings was damaged beyond repair on a Monday afternoon. This left one of the sites without network access, internet, or essential services,. A fast and reliable solution was needed while fibre replacement plans were arranged.

Our Solution 🛠️

We rapidly deployed a UniFi Building Bridge 60GHz point-to-point wireless link. This provided a high-speed, stable connection, ensuring minimal disruption to learning and operations.

Wednesday AM – Fibre declared non-repairable ❌
Same day – Solution designed, quoted, and ordered
Thursday – Installed and fully operational ✅

The Results 🏆

The wireless bridge is now delivering:

✅ Reliable, rock-solid connectivity between buildings
✅ Up to 1.67Gbps uplink, ensuring excellent performance
✅ Internet speeds tested at c.800Mbps, keeping staff and students connected

This rapid deployment ensured seamless continuity of service while fibre replacement is underway - a great example of technology stepping in when it’s needed most!

The day will test nerves, teamwork, and a few fears along the way from heights to creepy crawlies!

On Friday, the computer2cloud team celebrated Christmas in style!

We kicked things off with a huge festive spread and a few cocktails. Then we had a go at virtual darts and wrapped up by letting off some steam with a friendly (well, mostly!) punching competition.
