Is Tor Safe to Use?: A Summary

Tor is a special web browser that anonymizes your internet traffic by sending it through multiple Tor computers. This ensures that nobody is able to see where data is coming from and where it’s going. Tor browser makes it difficult for governments or websites to link your browsing activity to you and therefore enhances your privacy online. But is it safe to use Tor?

Well, like any other system, it has its weaknesses. Your system can still be hacked, you can still get malware when browsing with Tor — especially if you use it to access the dark web. It’s highly advisable to take some precautions when using the Tor browser:

Use the Safest option when determining your security level. This option can be found by going to the Privacy & Setting in the menu.

Make sure you have reliable antivirus software installed on your device to protect against viruses and other malware.

Use a good VPN along with Tor. This will add an essential extra layer of security to ensure none of your information is visible to third parties..

Change this one setting to get faster internet speeds

A DNS is essentially a map of the internet. Think of it as a road map, with all of the web addresses you frequently visit and millions more that you don’t.

When you sign up for internet service, We assign you to its our server. However, that isn’t always the best one to use for you. It could be further away than other dns servers and could be over run at peak times slowing down your connection.

If your computer can’t look up IP addresses quickly, it seriously slows down browsing. Fortunately, there are other DNS servers out there you can use. Keep in mind that speed isn’t the only reason to choose a new DNS. Many DNS systems include filtering to block inappropriate websites or other sites you don’t want to see.

There are many free options for alternate DNS servers, but here are the most popular and reliable ones. Some, like Cloudflare, even have built-in security features.
We recommend using the following google and cloudflare dns servers for best results
