NEWS: Melony Buchanan targets further UK-wide growth for Commsworld following her appointment as first Chief Revenue Officer.

Melony will lead the Edinburgh-headquartered company’s revenue strategy, with a clear focus on geographical, proposition and partnership expansion as part of a UK-wide growth roadmap. This roadmap will be centred around the continued evolution of the company’s portfolio to meet the changing needs of its customers in both the public and private sectors.

Melony said: “I am proud to be joining Commsworld at a pivotal time in the company’s evolution. I have been impressed in recent years by the way in which Commsworld has secured major contracts and delivered exceptional value for customers. We had a fantastic time at Meggetland for Boroughmuir’s first ‘Women in Business’ Workshop as part of the Boroughmuir Business Club.

The session provided valuable insights into the topic of flexible working, sparking engaging discussion and different perspectives on how we approach flexibility in the workplace. An insightful and thought-provoking session!

We’re proud to support the Stubbington Red Kites football team and we wanted to share a few highlights from what has been a fantastic season for the boys.

Their achievements this season include:

🔹Two league promotions
🔹Quarter-finalists in a cup competition
🔹A 70% win rate across league and cup matches
🔹115 goals scored

Even more importantly, the team has grown both on and off the pitch. Their teamwork, attitude, commitment, and determination have been outstanding throughout. It’s a privilege to support such a dedicated group of young players!

Huge congratulations to our incredible colleagues, the Blister Sisters! Who completed the Rob Roy Way last week, raising money for our charity partner of the year, CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland). CHAS provides vital care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Despite the sore legs, they powered through every step knowing the difference they’re helping to make. Truly inspiring!

What a fantastic Company Day we had last week at Commsworld HQ! It was great to welcome colleagues from across the country for a day filled with exciting updates, collaboration, and celebration. The “Clash of the Clans” theme brought plenty of energy and fun to the day!

A huge congratulations to our Employees of the Quarter, Abbie Robertson and David Wright! We’re also incredibly proud to support our charity partner, CHAS, with over a £10,000 donation to help continue their amazing work. Alongside this, we hosted a range of engaging workshops and celebrated all our achievements in Q1.

Commsworld is delighted to announce the winner of its Design a Mascot competition in North Lanarkshire after an amazing online poll saw people vote in their thousands for their favourite.

Annabelle, from Thornlie Primary, Wishaw, won the £500 top prize after her mascot, Techy, claimed the most votes in the poll organised by Commsworld, in partnership with SmartSTEMs and North Lanarkshire Council.

However, such was the high standard of entries in the final shortlist of four – and the huge number of votes cast for each one by thousands of members of the public – that Commsworld decided to introduce further prizes for second, third and fourth as a one-off this year.

Commsworld Marketing Manager Martina Corr, who presented each school with their cheques, said: "Many congratulations to Annabelle – Techy was a very worthy winner. Congratulations also go to Rachael, Katieann and Eve who made the shortlist with Comunibot, Cammie and Jimmy Bob Junior. We thought they were all fantastic, so much so we couldn’t let anyone go unrewarded.”

A key part of that upgrade has been Commsworld's delivery of even more robust, resilient, and ultra-fast pure-fibre connectivity to every school in Glasgow. Commsworld has a significant track record of success in this field across the UK, and we believe that this latest improved high-speed infrastructure in Glasgow - so critical when it comes to supporting the city-wide rollout of upgraded iPads for digital learning - will enhance yet further learning for both students and teachers in the city for years to come:
